Calling All Cooks!

In preparation for all this, we invite you to join in preparing recipes in advance for the Oneg and Brunch & Learn. Tina’s cookbooks, Entrée to Judaism: A Culinary Exploration of the Jewish Diaspora and Entrée to Judaism for Families: Jewish Cooking and Kitchen Conversations with Children will be available for purchase in advance and autographing during the weekend – with the discount from the publisher giving you the cookbooks at a reduced price and an additional stipend going to CBSRZ as well!

Because much of the activity will be taking place over Shabbat, you may purchase the cookbooks in advance and pick them up on Shabbat, since you will have already paid for them.

Entree to Judaism: A Culinary Exploration of the Jewish Diaspora, ordinarily $39.95, will be $35.00, while the family/children’s cookbook, Entree to Judaism for Families: Jewish Cooking and Kitchen Conversations with Children, ordinarily $29.95, will be $20.00.  Both cookbooks bought as a set, will be available for $50.00.  These will make great additions to your home kitchen – and terrific gifts for the holidays.

Place your order in advance online and send a check to CBSRZ so that you will be able to pick up your cookbook copies over Shabbat weekend.  You may also call the CBSRZ office to reserve your copies and make arrangements to pay by check in advance.

Saturday Night Cooking Workshop

Saturday, December 17th – 7:30 p.m.

Logistics dictate that we limit participation in this hands-on workshop to 50 people, and we will reserve spots on a first come, first served basis. So respond immediately to secure your place at the event. There will be a per person donation of Chai ($18.00) to help defray ingredient costs which you can send in as soon as you make your reservation. After the great cook-off takes place, participants will have the opportunity to sit down and enjoy a tasting menu featuring the fruits of their labor… along with a well-earned glass of wine!

Save your spot – RSVP today!

Brunch & Learn

Saturday, December 17th – 11:00 a.m.

We will be given the opportunity to sample a wide variety of Jewish foods while Tina takes us on a journey all over the Jewish culinary world, showing us not only how these dishes are made, but how they came to be in that particular corner of the world. Kindly RSVP so that enough food is prepared.
