Women’s Seder

This has been cancelled.

Sunday, March 29th, 3:00 to 5:30 p.m.
Doors open at 2:30 and the Seder begins promptly at 3:00pm.

Join us for an extraordinary community afternoon as we celebrate and learn about the role of women from Biblical times right up through our own history.  Rabbi Bellows and Cantor Belinda will lead this special Seder with the help not only of members of the Mavens and the Adult Education Committee, but with the assistance of everyone in attendance as well. We will read from a Haggadah created especially for women, highlighting our role in the Exodus story and drawing us to add our own stories in a unique, entertaining & engaging manner. While this is a special seder celebrating women, all genders are welcome. And we especially encourage you to bring your daughters, nieces and friends’ children, over the age of ten.

Dinner and exotic Passover foods will be provided. We are drawing our inspiration this year from the traditions of Mizrahi Jews, so our food, and some of the ceremonial Seder items, will come from the Jewish communities of Egypt, Iraq, Iran, Morocco and Syria. Ceremonial wine will be provided for the Seder. You are encouraged to bring your own wine to help wash dinner down.

We need to know how many people are coming so we can provide enough food. Please RSVP using the form below or contact the CBSRZ office 860-526-8920. The cost is $18.00 per person for adults; children (10 and above) and college students are $9.00. We welcome additional donations from people who wish to subsidize attendance for those who might otherwise not be able to attend.

Doors open at 2:30 and the Seder begins promptly at 3:00pm.
