Shabbat Across the Shoreline

Want to experience Shabbat?

Friday, February 26, 2016

Whether you celebrate Shabbat regularly, or want to learn how to enrich your home Shabbat celebration, all are invited to experience its joy at CBSRZ on Friday, February 26th as we celebrate Shabbat Across the Shoreline. Shabbat, the weekly Jewish day of rest, is when families gather together to observe a traditional service and enjoy a festive meal.

A wine and cheese reception begins at 6:00 pm followed by a traditional family Shabbat dinner with side dishes contributed by congregation members and main course provided by Alforno’s. Rabbi Rachel Goldenberg and Cantor Belinda Brennan will lead an interactive Shabbat service with all the rituals explained.

Capping the evening will be an Oneg Shabbat when all are invited to enjoy an array of homemade desserts and fellowship.

This special Shabbat Across the Shoreline celebration is free of charge and open to the community, but advance registration is required. For more information, call the CBSRZ office 860.526.8920.
